December 18, 2025 | Edition: #33

As we enter the latter half of December, football starts to peak. Both in the pros and in college. Bowl season is on the horizon and the playoff quarterfinals are just around the corner. But in between all of this athletic excitement, sometimes real human stories fall through the cracks. Stories of loss and grief of families whose sons make this sport possible.

The unfortunate passing of a young man is always a great loss to the community. All of the hopes and dreams are cut short and the surviving family members are left asking questions for which there are no good answers.
