They say the more things change, the more they stay the same. We are supposed to be in a brand new era with NIL. And yet, when we take a look around, some of the old guard is still stubbornly present. Difficult to keep Alabama and Georgia away from the playoffs. So it falls on the newcomers. The Hoosiers, the Ducks, and the Red Raiders to prove to the rest of us that the old SEC dominance may not be a factor anymore.

An unfortunate byproduct of the portal and the NFL pipeline is the absence of stars during Bowl games. Something must be fixed to stop this from happening.
